What Was It Like?

"I never saw a banana," said Gran. "There wasn't much food. We didn't have lots of sweets or chocolate. We didn't have nice soap and shampoo. We only had a bath once a week.

The children were excited. They were going to take part in a play. It was about World War Two. The play was going to be held in the park, and the children had to rehearse their scene. Gran had come to watch the rehearsal. Gran had experienced World War Two when she was young, so it reminded her of her childhood. She tried to tell the children that the war was terrible, but they began to laugh because they didn't experience the war. Then suddenly the magic key began to glow. It took them to the world of World war Two. They experienced the war there...

Other magic key series are funny, but this book is not funny. I think we're very happy because we don't experience the war. We will never start a war again.
