The Stolen White Elephant

"This is no ordinary case. We must move carefully. And we must keep it secret."

     The author heard the curious story from a railway acquaintance.  He was a gentleman of more than seventy years of age, and his good face and sincere manner put the stamp of truth on everything he said. he started to talk.

     In Thailand, the royal white elephant is very important. It is sacred to kings, and only kings can have a white elephant. And white elephants are more important than the king. The event happened five years ago. The King of Thailand decided to sent the Queen of England a present. This present must be a royal one. It was his job to deliver the present to Her Majesty the Queen. He traveled with his servants, and the officers and helpers of the elephant, in a ship. When they arrived in New York harbor. The elephant was not well so they had to stay in New York until the doctors said he was better and able to travel again. All things did well for two weeks. But one day, his problems began. He was told that the white elephant was stolen! He asked the inspector to write the elephant's characteristic, print fifty thousand copies of it, and send them to every detective office and pet shop in the country. 
     Who did steal the elephant? Can they find the white elephant?

"The stone is called the Blue Eye," said Princess Aisha. "Without it I cannot become Queen." Suddenly there was a shout. Some men began to run towards them. "Quick run!" said Princess Aisha. "There men are dangerous.  Mum was tidying up. Biff and Wilf were helping her. They found a bag. It was their father's and full of marbles. He said Biff could keep the marbles.
